The University of Georgia’s (UGA) history is deeply intertwined with that of slavery, the Lost Cause, and Jim Crow. These troubling aspects of our institutional history show up in the campus’ built environment, culture, and traditions spanning more than two centuries. The Locating Slavery's Legacies database (LSLdb) indexes these aspects of UGA history in an effort to make it more discoverable and connect with the histories of other colleges and universities.
