Dr. Caroline Emmons joined the LSL database in Fall of 2023. She incoperated the database into her HIST219 African American History To 1865 class that same semester (check out the syllabus for that class here). She says that the project enabled students to engage with the college's historical record to document and reveal the history of slavery and its legacies on campus.
University of Alabama
