Quintard Hall; a dormitory dedicated to Charles Todd Quintard

Quintard Hall, a dormitory and classroom facility for the preparatory Sewanee Grammar School (after 1908, Sewanee Military Academy), was built as a memorial to Charles Todd Quintard, first Vice-Chancellor of the University of the South. Funds for its construction were donated by Quintard’s brother, George, and J. Pierpont Morgan. Initially a dormitory and classroom building for academy students, it has served since 1990 as a dormitory for undergraduate students.
Quintard served as a chaplain in the Confederate military forces and was an enslaver.
