Meredith College dormitory/residence hall named for Oliver Larkin Stringfield. Stringfield was the financial agent for Meredith College during its founding years. He raised money across the state to support the college's creation. He was a Baptist minister and supported the Democratic Party's 1898 White Supremacy Campaign in North Carolina.
